AHEPA Chapter 140 – Albany, NY
Since its inception, Chapter 140 has grown into a vibrant hub for Greek‑American culture and community service in Albany. The Chapter combines nearly a century of legacy with modern impact—offering scholarships, honoring veterans, supporting youth, and from its base at St. Sophia, strengthening community ties throughout the Capital Region.

In January 2025, Albany AHEPA donated toys and gifts to children being treated at local healthcare facilities.

On August 11, 2024, the chapter’s scholarship committee awarded financial support to students after services at St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church.

Veterans & Civic Service

Chapter 140 organized a veterans' recognition luncheon attended by Congressman Paul Tonko, the Albany chapter itself, and neighboring Upstate chapters .

Co-organized the 6th Annual Eleftheria Capital Region Golf Outing in June 2025 alongside Chapters 125 (Schenectady) and 306 (Troy), raising funds for scholarships, charitable initiatives, and support of the USS Slater naval museum.
