A Bit About the Chapter

AHEPA Chapter 367 – “George Papaeleas” – Washington Heights, NY

Founded in 1950, George Papaeleas Chapter 367 has been a vibrant part of the Greek‑American community in Washington Heights, through its association with St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church.

Recent Highlights

  • In May 2022, the chapter led a heartfelt AHEPA Sunday memorial service, honoring deceased brothers at St. Spyridon and hosting a centennial cake celebration for AHEPA’s 100th anniversary—attended by District 6 Governor Dean Moskos and Chapter President George Chokos.

  • During the COVID era, it transitioned smoothly to virtual operations—holding Zoom meetings in 2020 and June 2024 for officer elections and member engagement .

  • The chapter continues to convene monthly (typically on the third Thursday) and actively support parish ministries at St. Spyridon, including Greek school, Philoptochos, and youth programs.
