About the Event

Please join us in honor of 205 years of Greek Independence on Thursday, March 26 as we raise the Greek flag with Nassau County Executive Bruce A. Blakeman, Greek Orthodox Churches of Nassau County and AHEPA Family Chapters of Long Island. 10:30 AM refreshments and bagels, Event begins at 11 AM and continues in the evening at 6 PM. Please arrive earlier to park in the executive building parking lot. This is a free event, so please come out and support Hellenism. In the evening at 6 PM in the same building we will have keynote speaker: Dr. Despina Afentouli, Journalist & Sociologist and will be honoring outstanding individuals from our Nassau County Greek Orthodox Churches. Please come out and support our Hellenism. The event is at the Theodore Roosevelt Executive & Legislative Building, 2nd floor Press Room, 1550 Franklin Ave., Mineola, NY 11501.
