Brothers:
We honored the 2020 AHEPA District 6 Scholarship recipients virtually on Sunday, January 17, 2021. The distinguished group of young scholars included Athanasia Meimeteas, Nicholas Likos, Steliani Vlahos, and Sophia Kapogiannis. The opening prayer was provided by Rev. Fr. John Vlahos from St. Paraskevi Greek Orthodox Shrine Church in Greenlawn, NY. The Keynote presentation was done by AHEPA Supreme Vice President Jimmy Kokotas with remarks by PDG Mike Papaphotes, PDG Demi Pamboukes, SOP Past Supreme President Andreas Christou, and PSP and Board of Trustees Member Andrew Zachariades. The closing prayer was given by Rev. Dr. Christos Christakis from Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Buffalo, NY. Education is one of the most important aspects of the AHEPA and rightly the pivotal letter and word in our name and brand.
