Kali Anastasi Kai Kalo Pascha. The below will be in this weekend’s edition of The National Herald. A Thank You to District 6 AHEPA members, Supreme Governor Tom Dushas, PDG Ted Stamas, Gus Constantine, Bobby Gemelas and other District members for moving quickly in the finest and best traditions of AHEPA to help acknowledge the importance of Police Officer Anastasios Tsakos and other police officers who Protect and Serve our communities.
Although not an AHEPA member he and other officers of various multi-ethnic and multi-cultural backgrounds risked and risk their lives daily to defend us and Hellenism by upholding democracy, the rule of law and many other things Hellenes and Philhellenes hold dear. Our sincere condolences for his tragic death to his family, friends and fellow officers during this difficult time. May his memory be eternal. There will be a Memorial Service, and which AHEPA members will be in attendance, for him on Monday, May 3 from 2 to 9 pm at Saint Paraskevi Greek Orthodox Church, 1 Shrine Place, Greenlawn, NY 11740. The funeral will be on Tuesday, May 4 at 10 am at St. Paraskevi presided by Rev. Fr. John Vlahos followed by burial at Northport Rural Cemetery.
