In light of the precautions that are prudently being taken to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus the Board of the Federation of Hellenic Societies of Greater New York voted to postpone the upcoming Greek Independence Day Parade that was originality set for March 29 and the activities related to it. Please note this year’s parade will be postponed for later in the year (date to be determined when appropriate) and NOT cancelled. Also note that the parade raffle will be held on the same date as on the tickets and we ask our district Chapters and members to support the upcoming parade by purchasing same that have been distributed to your Chapters. We thank all the AHEPA Chapters and the DOP that participated through our call in number in our last District 6 Lodge meeting on Tuesday, March 10. Since the current actions being taken both nationally and locally will effect some of what we discussed during that meeting in particular our AHEPA District 6 upcoming events we will have another District 6 Lodge call in meeting this coming week (Wednesday or Thursday) with day and time to be announced on Monday. It will be totally a call in meeting and short.
