Brothers:
Today is OXI Day a national holiday in Greece and Cyprus and one of the most important, consequential and pivotal events of World War 2. Enclosed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNUQxeq8oyM) find the video of our OXI Day panel discussion event I moderated on Sunday for the occasion entitled “OXI Day and its Effects on WW2, Europe and America”. We had Opening Remarks from the Hellenic Republic Secretary General for Public Diplomacy and Greeks Abroad Prof. Emeritus John/Ioannis Chrysoulakis and the Hellenic Republic Consul General in New York Dr. Konstantine Koutras. Our distinguished panel included the President of HELISS (Hellenic Institute for Strategic Studies)/Author/Hellenic Lt. General (r.) Ioannis Baltzois, Historian/Author Prof. Alexander Kitroeff of Haverford College, the Museum Director of Kehila Kedosha Janina Marcia Ikonomopoulos, AHEPA Supreme Vice President/Entrepreneur Brother Jimmy Kokotas, and Historian Researcher/Author Peter Giakoumis. We also had world renowned Hellenic America Opera Singer AHEPA Delphi Chapter #25 Brother Costas Tsourakis sing a cappella a couple of Sofia Vembo’s iconic and historical songs at the beginning before and after the Opening Remarks. Enjoy and ZHTO H ΕΛΛΑΣ!!!
Fraternally yours,
Brother Lou Katsos
